Pain symptoms
Pain is a signal, an invitation from the body to look at something. Acupuncture offers a natural route to understand that message and address the cause, not just the symptom.
Which pain symptoms?
In practice we treat a range of pain symptoms:
- Back pain (lower, mid-back, shoulder blades)
- Neck and headache, tension headache
- Shoulder and arm complaints (frozen shoulder, tennis elbow)
- Hip, knee and ankle pain
- Menstrual pain
- Chronic pain after injuries or operations
How does it work?
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, pain is often seen as a blockage in the flow of qi and blood. With acupuncture we open those blockages: circulation improves, tension reduces and the body's self-healing capacity is activated. Many people notice a clear difference after just a few sessions.
What can you expect?
We start with an extensive intake mapping the pain, when, where, how, and look at contributing factors (sleep, stress, nutrition, movement). We then propose a treatment plan of usually 4 to 8 sessions, sometimes complemented with cupping or moxa.
