Terms and conditions
Below you'll find the conditions under which the practice operates: appointments, payment, privacy, complaints and locum cover.
These terms and conditions apply to all treatments and appointments at Tsjing Tsjing Bai Bai Acupuncture, based in Waspik. By making an appointment you agree to these terms. Read them at your own pace; if anything is unclear, feel free to get in touch.

2. Applicability
These terms apply to every treatment agreement between the practice and you as a client. Deviating arrangements are only valid if recorded in writing.
3. Treatment agreement (WGBO)
The practice works in accordance with the Dutch Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO). This means you receive clear information beforehand about the treatment, its expected duration, its purpose and any risks. You give consent for the treatment; you can withdraw this consent at any time.
The acupuncturist records the treatment plan and the agreements made in a patient file. You have the right to access your file.
4. Contra-indications, what to know beforehand
Acupuncture is a safe treatment, but there are situations that require a conversation beforehand. Please call before booking an appointment if one or more of the following applies to you:
- Pregnancy, some points are not used during pregnancy; I tailor the treatment to your trimester.
- Blood thinners (such as acenocoumarol, phenprocoumon, DOACs or a high dose of acetylsalicylic acid), the needling technique is adjusted to prevent bruising.
- Pacemaker or other active implants, electroacupuncture is then not possible; manual needling is.
- Severe skin conditions, open wounds or a weakened immune system, together we'll look at which areas of the body can safely be treated.
By agreeing to these terms on the appointment form, you confirm that you have read the points above and, if one or more apply to you, that you will contact us by phone beforehand. In doubt? Call or email; it saves you an unnecessary trip.
5. Fees and payment
Current fees can be found on the Fees page. Fees are exempt from VAT.
Payment can be made in the following ways: PIN, payment request, cash, direct debit or bank transfer. You will receive an invoice after the treatment which you can submit to your health insurer.
For payment by invoice, a payment term of 14 days from the invoice date applies. If the invoice is not settled within that term, a reminder will follow. If payment is still not received, the claim may be handed over to a debt collection agency; any associated costs are payable by the client.
6. Cancellation and no-shows
An appointment can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours or do not show up, the full consultation fee will be charged. These costs are not reimbursed by your health insurer.
You can cancel via the link in your confirmation email, by phone, via WhatsApp or by email. More information on the Cancellation page.
7. Health insurance reimbursement
Acupuncture falls under supplementary health insurance. The practice is affiliated with the NVA, which means most health insurers reimburse the treatment (partially). The level of reimbursement depends on your policy. Always check this yourself with your health insurer.
More information on the Health insurance reimbursement page.
8. Privacy and patient file
The practice processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The file is stored securely and is only accessible to the practitioner. The statutory retention period is 20 years.
For full details, please read the Privacy policy.
9. Consultation with GP or referrer
Sometimes it is useful or necessary to consult with your GP, referrer or another practitioner. This only happens with your explicit consent. This consent is recorded in your file.
10. Complaints and disputes
Are you dissatisfied with the treatment or our contact? Discuss it with Jildert first; we often find a solution together. If we don't manage to resolve it together, you can use the NVA complaints procedure. The practice is affiliated with Stichting Zorggeschil (SZG) under the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz).
More information on the Complaints procedure page.
11. Locum cover
In the event of illness, holiday or other absence, a fellow acupuncturist may stand in. Locums are members of the NVA, so health-insurance reimbursement continues as normal. On request, the practice will share the names of the locums.
12. Liability
The practice holds a valid professional liability insurance. Liability is limited to the amount paid out in the relevant case under that professional liability insurance.
An acupuncture treatment does not replace regular medical care. In case of serious, persistent or worsening complaints, always contact your GP or attending physician. See also the Disclaimer.
13. Changes
The practice may amend these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. The date of the most recent change is shown at the bottom.
14. Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes are preferably resolved through the complaints procedure described above.
